Home School Counselor Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with middle school aged children
  • Provides individual counseling to students with social emotional learning needs.
  • Licenced social worker or mental health counselor
  • Experience in providing positive behavior supports and interventions
  • Individual and small group skill instruction
  • Ability to coach teachers and team members for implementation of mental health support strategies
  • Integral team member in developing and implementing behavior support plans and interventions
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Collaboratively work with families and school teams
