Position Overview:
The HR Intern supports the Human Resources team by assisting with daily operations, employee services, recruiting coordination, and various HR projects. This role provides hands‑on exposure to HR processes in a professional environment and is ideal for students or early-career individuals pursuing HR, business administration, or related fields.

Onsite in Lynchburg, VA
Your Day to Day as an HR Intern may include:
- Assist in coordinating recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Support onboarding processes such as preparing new hire packets, conducting orientation check-ins, and updating employee files.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Help track HR metrics and prepare reports as needed.
- Participate in employee engagement activities and events.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team (filing, organizing, data entry, document updates).
- Help with special projects such as policy reviews, process improvement, and training coordination.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to report to an assigned work location each day as scheduled.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.
