The opportunity

ESGreLab is looking for a small team of students to help run our weekly LinkedIn newsletter focused on the intersection of real estate, construction, technology and the future of the industry.

The newsletter already has 5,000+ followers. The goal this fall is to give students the opportunity to become part of the editorial process — finding interesting stories, researching companies and technologies, identifying trends and helping decide what is worth putting in front of our audience.

This is not a “find 10 articles and summarize them” internship.

Students will help answer questions such as:

• What is actually happening in real estate and construction?
• Which technologies are beginning to matter?
• Which companies are doing something interesting?
• What stories are being overlooked?
• What should people working in the industry be paying attention to?
• What does a particular development mean for the future of the sector?

What you would do

Students would work as part of a small editorial team and could be involved in:

• Researching real estate, construction and technology news
• Finding companies, startups and emerging technologies worth following
• Tracking major industry developments
• Suggesting stories for upcoming editions
• Researching and fact-checking stories
• Helping write or edit newsletter content
• Developing recurring themes and features
• Looking at what resonates with readers
• Building a database of interesting companies, technologies and people
• Helping shape the newsletter's editorial direction

There would be a weekly team meeting to review ideas, decide what makes the next edition and divide up the work.

You will also have the opportunity to learn directly from ESGreLab's team and work alongside students from other universities and disciplines.

And unlike many internships, your work doesn't disappear into a company inbox. If your research or writing makes it into the newsletter, thousands of people will see it.

Who we're looking for

We are particularly interested in students studying:

But your major matters less than curiosity and the ability to find something interesting and explain why it matters.

You don't need to know everything about real estate or construction. We are looking for students who like to learn, research, ask questions and connect the dots.
