Project Destined AI Engineer

📋 Role Overview
This role will allow you to advance Project Destined's internal AI capability while playing a central role in the design and delivery of our hackathon programming. You will identify, build, and operationalize AI use cases across the organization — reducing manual work for our program, partnerships, and recruiting teams — and translate that same technical fluency into student-facing competitions that produce real, working products. You will collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality program delivery and help position Project Destined at the forefront of applied AI in real estate education.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
☑️ Internal AI Systems & Use Case Development
Identify, scope, and build AI-enabled solutions that improve how Project Destined operates day to day.
Partner with program, partnerships, recruiting, and finance teams to surface high-value AI use cases and prioritize them by impact and effort.
• Design and ship internal AI applications and assistants (document analysis, participant support, content generation, reporting) using the Claude API, Enterprise ChatGPT, and adjacent tooling.
• Build and maintain prompt libraries, evaluation sets, and system prompts so internal AI outputs remain accurate, on-brand, and reliable.
• Establish guardrails for internal AI use, including access controls, cost and rate limit management, per-team budget controls, and usage monitoring.

☑️ AI Agent Development & Deployment
Own the build, testing, and deployment readiness of agentic AI workflows supporting internal and program use cases.
• Develop multi-step and multi-agent workflows that connect organizational data, external APIs, and internal tools.
• Run structured evaluation of agent outputs for accuracy, safety, and program relevance before deployment.
• Implement feedback loops, logging, and error handling so agent performance improves measurably over time.

☑️ Hackathon Design & Technical Delivery
Serve as the technical lead for Project Destined hackathons, from concept through judging.
Co-design hackathon themes, briefs, task guides, and judging rubrics alongside the program team.
• Build and maintain the technical infrastructure participants rely on, including AI gateway access, API key provisioning, per-team usage limits, starter templates, and reference implementations.
Prepare and run technical enablement sessions, live demos, and office hours for participating student teams.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting during build weeks across the participant stack (Lovable, Supabase, n8n, Claude API, and similar tools).
Design the infrastructure to be reusable across cohorts, reducing setup time and cost for each subsequent hackathon.

☑️ Automation & Workflow Engineering
Ensure automation components across the organization are scalable, auditable, and aligned with AI workflows.
Build and optimize automations connecting tools such as Zapier, n8n, Zoom, Canvas, Monday.com, Airtable, and Slack.
Monitor workflow reliability, reduce technical debt, and implement alerting for automation failures.
Document workflows so they remain maintainable as the team and program volume grow.

☑️ Cross-Functional Collaboration & AI Enablement
Act as the connective layer between organizational needs and technical execution.
• Translate operational and program requirements into scalable AI solutions with clear scope and success criteria.
• Train internal staff on AI tooling and shared best practices, raising baseline AI fluency across the organization.
• Support AI-related course content validation and technical review when program needs require it.

💡 Preferred Skill Set
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) including tool use, structured outputs, and agent frameworks
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; comfort with SQL
• Experience with automation platforms (Zapier, n8n, Make) in production environments
• Familiarity with modern full-stack and no-code/low-code tooling (Supabase, Lovable, Vercel, or equivalents)
• Working understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and evaluation methodology
• Experience running or supporting technical events, workshops, or bootcamps is a strong plus
• Interest in commercial real estate, finance, or education technology
• Strong operational mindset: reliability, governance, cost awareness, scalability

💼 What We Offer
• Opportunity to work at the forefront of the nation's largest and fastest growing real estate education and social impact platform.
• Unusual ownership of AI strategy and implementation at an organization actively deploying it across programs and operations.
• Hands-on exposure to program management, business development, and AI product innovation.
• Direct collaboration with leading real estate firms, universities, and student leaders.
• A dynamic, entrepreneurial team culture with room to grow and lead.

➡️ Next Steps
Interested candidates should submit a resume and a short note describing an AI system they have built and shipped, including the stack used and the outcome it produced. Links to working projects, repositories, or demos are strongly encouraged.
