## About the Role

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Systems Engineer to join our CPU Design team. You will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the networks, systems, and infrastructure that underpin our cutting-edge CPU design projects. You will collaborate closely with design, verification, and implementation teams to ensure our office systems and HPC infrastructure are efficient, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

## Responsibilities

- **Linux Systems & HPC Infrastructure:** Administer and optimize the Linux compute environment supporting CPU design and verification workloads, both onsite and in the cloud. Plan capacity, tune performance, and ensure high availability.
- **Hardware Assembly & Parts Management:** Perform hands-on hardware work, including assembling, racking, and cabling servers and workstations. Manage parts inventory, spares, RMAs, and vendor orders to keep systems running and repairs turning around quickly.
- **Tool Development & Automation:** Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and scripts to optimize system performance, streamline design flows, and reduce manual effort across IT operations.
- **Containers & CI/CD:** Build, deploy, and maintain containerized services and environments. Develop and support CI/CD pipelines that keep design, verification, and infrastructure workflows fast and reliable.
- **License & Tool Management:** Administer EDA tool installations and license servers (e.g., FlexLM), ensuring engineers have reliable access to the compute and licenses they need.
- **Monitoring & Alerting:** Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively detect issues and configure alerting for critical system events and incidents.
- **Collaboration & Support:** Work closely with engineering teams and end users to identify inefficiencies and provide technical support. Document tools and workflows to support knowledge sharing across teams.
- **Technical Leadership:** Mentor junior team members, provide technical expertise, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.

## Qualifications

- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Expertise in HPC and data center environments.
- Strong understanding of CPU design methods and requirements for compute and license management.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and build automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex design challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and improvement.
