Join Our Team as a Remote OR In-House Independent Contracted Tutor!
Are you a teacher, career professional, or college student passionate about education and have a strong command of a specific subject area? Do you enjoy helping others learn and succeed? We're looking for enthusiastic and competent tutors to join our learning center and make a positive impact on students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
We are looking for tutors for the following subjects:
Reading remediation (All grade levels)
Math (All sub-subjects and grade levels)
ACT/SAT/CLT Test Prep
Note: Online tutoring is for grades 6-12 ONLY
Position: IN-HOUSE or REMOTE Independent Contracted Tutor
About Us:
Harmonic Learning Education and Training fosters academic growth and empowers students to achieve their full potential. We offer a dynamic learning environment where students receive personalized attention and guidance from our team of skilled tutors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in your designated subject area(s).
- Develop tailored lesson plans and strategies to address the individual needs and learning goals of each student. We will provide all resources and materials!
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that encourage active participation. We are a screen-free facility unless required by a school assignment or online session.
- Offer constructive feedback and support to help students overcome challenges and grasp complex concepts.
- Provide parents with ways to assist their child at home between sessions.
- Assign additional home practice as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled college student with a STRONG proficiency in the subject area you wish to tutor.
- A degree or relevant classes in the subject you wish to tutor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and explain concepts.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is required.

Location and Hours:
Our center operates from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Weekend availability is beneficial for student-athletes/extra-curricular activities and should be conducted in a public location, such as a bookstore, library, or online. Our learning center offers in-person and ONLINE tutoring sessions during center hours. Again, online tutoring and off-site tutoring options are available on weekends.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or currently working towards a degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children
- Pass a national background check (at the tutor’s expense)
- Must be reliable, have a great attitude, and have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work in an environment that is warm, friendly, and calm under normal circumstances
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
