Future Educator and Youth Development Intern

Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking Education & Youth Development Interns to join our summer camp staff. This paid internship gives future educators hands-on experience working directly with youth while developing the skills needed to lead, teach, motivate, and manage groups of students.

Interns will help teach and lead activities throughout camp, work with Scouts from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels, manage groups in active learning environments, develop positive relationships with youth, and create engaging experiences that encourage confidence, independence, and personal growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, or other education-related degrees. Students will gain practical experience in classroom management, lesson delivery, youth development, communication, behavior management, and experiential learning.

This is a paid, residential summer internship. Housing, meals, staff uniforms, and weekly pay are provided. Internship or field-experience credit may be available depending on the requirements of the student's college or university.
