Nursing Health Services Intern
Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a Nursing & Health Services Intern to join our summer Health Lodge team. This paid internship provides students with hands-on experience in a busy residential camp healthcare environment while working alongside experienced medical professionals.
The intern will assist the Health Lodge team with camper and staff care, health documentation, medication procedures, first aid, patient intake, health education, medical supply organization, and daily Health Lodge operations. Interns will also gain experience communicating with youth, parents, adult leaders, and members of the camp leadership team.
Applicants should be currently pursuing a degree or career pathway in Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Pre-Med, Health Sciences, or a related healthcare field. Students should demonstrate professionalism, compassion, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. All duties will be performed within the intern's level of training and under appropriate supervision.
This is a paid, residential summer internship. Housing, meals, staff uniforms, and weekly pay are provided. Internship or clinical credit may be available depending on the requirements and approval of the student's college or university.
