Outdoor Recreation & Trip Operations Manager

Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking an Outdoor Recreation & Trip Operations Manager to oversee our whitewater rafting program and other off-site adventures. This paid summer position provides hands-on experience in outdoor recreation management, logistics, staff leadership, transportation coordination, customer service, and risk management.

The manager will coordinate the daily movement of campers and staff to off-site activities, supervise trip staff and drivers, communicate with outside outfitters and vendors, maintain schedules and participant information, and help ensure trips operate safely, efficiently, and on time.

Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills and be comfortable managing people in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Previous experience in outdoor recreation, summer camps, transportation, hospitality, or team leadership is preferred but not required.

This is a paid, residential summer position. Housing, meals, staff uniforms, and weekly pay are provided. The position may qualify for college internship credit depending on the student's college or university.
