The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Gym Supervisor to join our team.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. 

As the Gym Supervisor, you have the opportunity to build relationships with members, ensure all activities run smoothly and ensure members are using facilities and equipment in the proper manner. You will also facilitate gym use, including but not limited to set-up, monitoring and tear down of sports leagues and/or special events. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • You have a high school degree or equivalent
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications (preferred)
  • You have a positive attitude and previous experience working with diverse populations
  • You have demonstrated maturity, sound judgement and decision making skills
  • You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required 


Are you a good fit?

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent

Wage:  $17.13 to $17.77 (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Hours:  Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
