Life Skills Tutor - Basking Ridge NJ

  • Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
  • Time Commitment:  - 1 hour, twice per week
  • Availability of Client: weekday afternoons / weekends / some weekday mornings
  • Additional Details: Client is 21 and attends Raritan Valley Community College part-time.  He is seeking support with social interactions, budgeting, school and career planning, developing strategies to navigate challenges related to his disability, and exploring new interests.  Tutor may accompany him to classes to better understand his needs and support him in exploring activities and interests in the community.  The family requests a *male tutor * who is relatively close in age and can build a strong rapport with him.  

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Patience, reliability, encouraging attitude, and ability to build positive rapport
  • Ability to provide individualized instruction and explain concepts clearly
  • Clear professional communication with the student, family, and Actual Solutions Tutoring team
  • Reliable transportation to in-person session locations
