Investor Relations Associate 

 

Saybrook Fund Advisors, LLC (“Saybrook”) is a Santa Monica-based registered investment advisor that pursues tax-efficient returns for its clients through opportunistic credit-driven municipal investments in two investment vehicles: pooled vehicles (“Funds”) and separately managed accounts (“SMAs”).  

 

The Investor Relations Associate support Saybrook investor relations through client management, investor communications, diligence requests, and marketing materials. The role is targeted to provide a best-in-class investor experience through clear and timely communication.  The ideal candidate has the initiative to learn Saybrook’s product offerings and ability to understand and communicate financial and legal information. 

 

The position will be full-time in the Santa Monica office. 

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Receive and respond in a timely manner to ad hoc investor requests including but not limited to assistance with investor portal access, capital calls and distributions, performance and investor statement questions
  • Liaise between internal teams to draft investor communications like capital calls and distributions and periodic investor communications 
  • Assist with review and organization of subscription documentation and other investor forms
  • Respond to due diligence requests for product or firm information
  • Maintain marketing collateral including updating offering materials and facilitating compliance review 
  • Assist with event coordination including Saybrook hosted events, industry conferences, and webinars. 
  • Support business development efforts through CRM management and prospective client tracking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 1-3 years of financial client relationship experience 
  • General knowledge of business and corporate procedures, fixed income or municipal bond background is a plus 
  • Proficient in MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and SalesForce
  • Possesses organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented framework 
  • Sense of humor
