Project Management Intern - Ukraine on Campus

September 2026 – December 2026, adjusted to accommodate academic calendar

Location: NYC / Washington, D.C.
Schedule: Hybrid, Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)
Compensation: $18/hour 

Razom is seeking program interns to help coordinate and engage in university, academic, and campus-related initiatives. 

Candidates must be studying or working towards a university degree. This position is paid, part-time, and hybrid and based out of the Razom offices in New York or Washington, D.C. Internship hours and duration can be adjusted to accommodate class schedules, with a significant portion of the work being remote and asynchronous. We encourage candidates to explore university funding or college credit options, if applicable. At Razom, mentorship is highly valued and interns are exposed to different Razom initiatives over the course of their internships.

Background

Razom’s Ukraine on Campus is seeking program interns to help coordinate and engage in university, academic, and campus-related initiatives. Ukraine on Campus is a developing program focused on connecting students, faculty, and campus administrators interested in championing Ukraine and mobilizing the resources they need to activate their institutions in support of the interdisciplinary study of Ukraine, diverse campus engagements with Ukraine, and Ukrainian victory. The internship will provide opportunities to engage with various institutions of higher learning, conferences, and other stakeholders in promoting the study of Ukraine.

Objective

The main objective of the internship is to contribute to and support Razom’s role as an accelerant in the study of and engagement with Ukraine across institutions of higher education.

Scope of Work

The intern will work with the Ukraine on Campus team lead and be responsible for:

• Supporting logistics and coordination of grant administration, conferences and events, research fellowships, and academic exchanges;

• Assisting in coordinating scholar and student travel stipends for key conferences such as ASEEES, ASN, and others;

• Assisting in executing student engagement projects with partners such as PBS and coordinating event and exhibit support toolkits to campuses;

• Contributing to Ukraine on Campus social media, blogposts, and newsletters;

• Conducting research on opportunities and challenges in promoting Ukrainian studies and programming on US and international university and college campuses, including building and maintaining databases;

• Managing databases of student groups, coursework, key stakeholders, and developing Ukraine programs across institutions of higher learning;

• Support intern engagement with the Metropolitan Opera’s program for young Ukrainian arts professionals.

Desired qualifications:

• Interest in non-profit work to support the multidisciplinary study of Ukraine, diverse campus engagements with Ukraine, and Ukrainian victory

• Available to work 10-15 hours per week

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Adept at problem solving and creative thinking

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently

• Proficiency in Ukrainian is considered an asset
