Global Academic Fellow

Boston Latin School is hiring a part time Global Academic Fellow TO SUPPORT WORK THROUGH THE CLOUGH CENTER FOR GLOBAL UNDERSTANDING.

The mission of the Clough Center for Global Understanding (CCGU) is to provide Boston Latin School students and teachers with the resources necessary to support the development of their global understanding and awareness.  This is accomplished through the integration of a global perspective throughout the school curriculum and short-term study opportunities around the globe.  

 

The Clough Center academic fellow will work under the direct supervision of the Program Director and will support the Program Director and trip leaders with work associated with 7 international and 2 domestic travel programs taking place during the 2026-2027 school year , plus additional Clough Center work. 


 

Position Responsibilities:

  Work approximately 8 hours per week. 2-3 days a week. 

  In person at Boston Latin School, 78 Avenue Louis Pasteur Boston.

  Limited flexibility for remote work 

Support administrators and teachers in several departments through the Clough Center for Global Understanding:

Provide logistical arrangements related to travel including, but not limited to, info flyers, forms, 

            reports, student lists, visa applications, immunization records, passports, etc. 

Handle incoming emails and mail

Assist in producing presentation materials for trip info meetings

Prepare expense reports from trips

Assisting with financial aid requests from students

Format, edit, and proofread documents

Provide general administrative help – filing, data entry, copying, etc.

Plan and execute meetings for visiting individuals or organizations

Support organization of International Education Week 

Other responsibilities as assigned by Program Director

Ability to juggle and prioritize projects, set priorities dealing with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to accurately process detail-oriented work

Strong writing skills

Strong proofreading skills

Self-starter, works well independently with little guidance

Strong organizational skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Calm demeanor

Ability to pitch in when necessary at all task levels

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree 

Previous work experience in an administrative support role within a collegial 

            environment

Proficiency with office systems including:  Google Suite & Canva.

Social Media creation and management experience

Interest in supporting the vision and mission of BLS and the Clough Center for Global  

            Understanding

 

Start Date: approx.. Sept. 28, 2026

End Date: approx.. May 28, 2027

6-10 hours per week

250 hours total

$22 per/hour
