Preschool Site Manager

Ohio Valley Opportunities, Inc. is seeking qualified individual for the position of Site Manager at our Madison & Hanover Indiana Head Start centers. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education(ECE), or a related field, or an Associates Degree in ECE with a minimum of three years’ experience in an early childhood program required. The Site Manager will ensure quality operation of Head Start center, management of center staff and activities designed to promote social, physical cognitive development of children to reach School Readiness Goals through partnership with the parents and staff. Individuals must be at least 21 years of age. Some of the duties include:

Maintain necessary documentation to ensure program meets Head Start Program Performance Standards, Indiana Daycare Licensing requirements and Paths-to Quality rating as appropriate.

Organize and schedule general and routine maintenance of the facilities.

Develop staff work schedules to assure appropriate child/staff rations and adherence to Indiana Labor Laws.

Ensure that center operates according to all OVO agency and Head Start program policies and procedures.

Maintain safety and oversee facilities and playground safety related maintenance and repair needs and environmental concerns for staff and children. 

Adhere to all Personnel Policies, Head Start Program Performance Standards, Program Policies and Procedures and Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations. 

Must be flexible and willing to adjust work hours and deemed necessary to accommodate families, program activities and/or training. 

Promote early childhood education through ensuring quality services to children, families and the community. Be a liaison for the Agency and program within the community. 

Ensure sufficient and proper supervision of all children at the site at all times.

Work collaboratively with all staff to provide for the needs of the children in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.

Utilize, monitor and maintain program databases to accurately track child, family and staff information. 

Encourage parent and community volunteerism and participate in other activities to generate in-kind.

Provide ongoing communication and information sharing with staff and parents. 

Respond competently to each individual family.

Submit timely, neat and accurate reports with appropriate data.

Attend all assigned training and meetings. 

Substitute within classrooms as needed as mandated by ratios
