Appointment Setter
An Appointment Setter is responsible for contacting prospective and existing customers to schedule appointments, consultations, or sales meetings. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, accurate record keeping, and the ability to engage customers professionally while meeting scheduling and performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Contact prospective and existing customers by phone, email, text, or other communication channels.
- Schedule appointments, consultations, demonstrations, or sales meetings.
- Explain company services and provide basic information to prospective customers.
- Identify customer needs and determine the appropriate appointment or service.
- Confirm scheduled appointments and follow up with customers regarding changes or cancellations.
- Maintain accurate customer and appointment information in CRM or scheduling systems.
- Make outbound calls to prospective customers and follow up on leads.
- Respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and objections.
- Coordinate appointment availability with sales representatives, technicians, providers, or other team members.
- Reschedule missed or canceled appointments when appropriate.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, call center, sales, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong listening, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and handling customer objections.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
