Youth Sports Official (Part-Time) — Paid Training, No Experience Required
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Officiate games in the Perris / Moreno Valley / Riverside area
- Work weekday afternoon games (typically starting around 4:00 PM) and select Saturday tournament days
- Apply rules consistently and keep player safety first
- Communicate calmly and professionally with players, coaches, and families
- Check in with the site lead on arrival and report any incidents after games
- Assist with game-day setup when scheduled
SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Knowledge of, or strong interest in learning, flag football, basketball, soccer, or volleyball
- Confident decision-making and composure under pressure
- Clear communication with young athletes and adults
- Patience and a positive attitude with young players
- Reliability and punctuality
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Current CPR certification (applicant-provided), or ability to obtain it before your first game
- Completion of mandated reporter training before working with students
- Availability for weekday afternoons, Saturdays, or both
- Offers are conditional on clearing a Live Scan fingerprint background check, as required by California law for youth-serving roles, plus standard background screening. Checks are conducted only after a written conditional offer.
