About the Role
South Shore United Methodist Church is looking for a Worship Coordinator.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage ministry programs for children (birth–5th grade) and youth (6th–12th grade), including weekly small group gatherings, annual events, special events, and service opportunities.- Encourage and invest in the spiritual growth of every child and young person connected to South Shore UMC.- Recruit, empower, and collaborate with church members, volunteers, and community leaders to address the real needs of children and families.- Work alongside the Senior Pastor and church leadership to align family ministries with the church's broader vision and mission.- Build relationships with community leaders and families to extend the reach of Shore Kids and Shore Youth beyond the congregation.
About you
- A committed follower of Jesus with a genuine heart for children, youth, and families.- Experience leading or coordinating youth or children's ministry programs — in a church, school, or community setting.- Strong relational skills; comfortable connecting with kids, teens, parents, and volunteers alike.- Able to plan and execute events, manage multiple programs, and work independently.- Familiarity with United Methodist traditions and values is a plus, not a requirement.
