Overview

We are seeking an organized, proactive Trade Marketing Specialist Intern to support the CIH Marketing team during the Summer 2027 internship program. This role is ideal for a student interested in trade marketing, events, retail marketing, communications, and project coordination.

The intern will help coordinate trade shows and events, support marketing needs for retailers and distributors, assist with monthly communications, and manage marketing asset and expense information. This position will work remotely, with the possibility of travel to Ripon, Wisconsin, as business needs require.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist Trade Marketing leadership with trade show and event coordination, including planning activities, logistics, communications, and follow-up needs.
  • Support credit card expense management and reporting related to trade marketing events and activities.
  • Help facilitate the monthly retailer newsletter, including gathering content, coordinating inputs, and supporting distribution.
  • Partner with Sales, retailers, and distributors to respond to basic marketing support requests.
  • Assist with maintaining inventories of physical and digital marketing assets.
  • Track and help manage monthly marketing-related expenses.
  • Gather information from internal stakeholders and external partners to support marketing projects and event needs.
  • Help turn marketing ideas into clear, actionable plans by identifying requirements, timelines, and resources needed for execution.
  • Support additional CIH Marketing projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with event logistics, expenses, inventories, and marketing materials.
  • Comfort working with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to gather information, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate with a variety of internal and external partners.
  • Interest in trade marketing, event coordination, retailer support, brand marketing, or sales enablement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining communication and ownership of assigned work.
