Civil Engineering Internship with Synergy Engineering and Konsulting (SEAK)

Synergy Engineering and Konsulting is a growing, woman-owned, civil engineering firm located in Bozeman Montana. We work on both small and large scale projects in the Bozeman and Big Sky area, as well as projects further afield in the state and down into the Southwest. We are seeking two summer interns for the May 2027-August 2027 season. This is a great opportunity for juniors or seniors in a civil engineering program to get a head start on their career and work directly with engineers on a variety of projects. We are looking for candidates with a passion for engineering, professional attitude and attention to detail who want to get real world experience on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

Civil Engineering Interns will work hands-on with SEAK engineers to create plans for a variety of projects in the Bozeman and Big Sky areas. You will be responsible for surveying and field data collection assistance and CAD drafting. This is a career-oriented position with a focus on providing interns with training in a variety of tasks so that they can eventually work independently on projects. 

Requirements:

·        Junior or Senior seeking a bachelor’s degree in a civil engineering program, or a recent graduate of a civil engineering program, with a 3.0 GPA or higher (please provide an unofficial transcript with your resume and cover-letter).

·        Positive attitude and desire to learn.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well with a team. 

·        Attention to detail

·        Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

·        Experience using AutoCAD (interviewing process will include a basic test of AutoCAD knowledge)

·        Reliable transportation.

·        Previous successful experience in an engineering office a plus.

Hours:

25-40 hours a week depending on schedule.

Wage:

$18/hr to $24/hr
