The Sun Prairie Area School District is looking for a creative storyteller to join our Strategic Communications team. This part-time internship is an opportunity to build your portfolio while creating real content that reaches students, families, staff, and the broader Sun Prairie community.
What You’ll Do
- Find and develop stories from across our schools.
- Interview students, staff, families, and community partners.
- Write features, profiles, web content, and social media posts.
- Capture photos and short-form video.
- Help create newsletters, publications, campaigns, and other district content.
- Collaborate on creative communications projects.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Is a strong, creative writer and storyteller.
- Is curious, takes initiative, and enjoys connecting with people.
- Has photography and/or video skills.
- Can take a story from idea to finished product.
- Is studying or has experience in journalism, communications, marketing, digital media, English, PR, or a related field.
Writing, photography, video, student media, freelance, or other creative experience counts.
Portfolio or work samples may be requested.
