AI Product and Automation Intern

Build software. Create agents. Put them to work.

The Tips is a golf club in Brickell combining indoor golf, instruction, events, custom fitting, and club services. Behind the scenes, we’re using Claude, Codex, and Astra to build custom software, AI agents, and connected systems that change how the business operates.

We’re looking for an intern who is excited by what these tools make possible and wants to build with them. You’ll work directly with the founders to turn ideas into applications, develop agents that carry out useful tasks, and take projects from an initial concept through testing and everyday use.

This is an opportunity to experiment, solve real problems, and put something you built into people’s hands.

What you’ll work on

  • Custom software development. Use AI coding tools to build and extend web applications, internal tools, and customer-facing experiences.
  • AI agents. Help develop agents that work with business information, use tools, and carry out tasks across multiple steps, with appropriate review points.
  • Connected systems. Work with APIs, databases, and integrations to connect applications and give agents access to the information and functions they need.
  • Creative workflows. Build systems that turn conversations and rough ideas into structured briefs, content, and other usable outputs.
  • Testing and iteration. Review generated code, debug problems, evaluate agent behavior, and improve reliability based on real use.
  • Documentation and handoff. Keep projects organized and make it straightforward for someone else to understand, maintain, and use what you build.

Projects could include an agent that helps manage incoming inquiries, a custom application for our fitting and build shop, or a content workflow that moves from a spoken idea to materials ready for review.

Who we’re looking for

You’re already experimenting with AI development tools and have built something you can show us. It might be a personal app, an agent, a school project, or an automation that solved a problem for you.

You should bring:

  • Some programming foundation, with the ability to understand, modify, and troubleshoot code with AI assistance.
  • Curiosity about how agents work, including instructions, context, tool use, and evaluating results.
  • A willingness to test assumptions and check whether something actually works.
  • The ability to break a problem into steps, communicate progress, and ask for help when needed.
  • Follow-through: you enjoy getting a promising prototype into a usable state.

Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Git, APIs, or databases is helpful. We’re interested in how you think, what you’ve built, and how you learn. Golf experience is optional.

What you’ll gain

Hands-on experience developing custom software and agents for a live business, direct collaboration with the founders, and feedback from the people using your work. You’ll have room to contribute ideas and take ownership of defined projects as your skills develop.

How to apply

Send your résumé or LinkedIn profile, availability, and one or two projects to [application email].

For one project, tell us what you built, which AI tools you used, and a problem you had to work through. A working link, GitHub repository, or short screen recording is welcome.
