Position Summary
The Gladiator Resource Hub is seeking Student Equity Ambassadors to help create a welcoming, student-centered environment and connect students with campus resources and support.
Student Equity Ambassadors are cross-trained to work throughout the Hub, including the Welcome Desk, Fresh Market, and Coffee Bar. Ambassadors may rotate between assignments based on student needs and daily operations.
Responsibilities
Student Equity Ambassadors will:
Welcome students, employees, and visitors to the Gladiator Resource Hub.
Help students navigate Chabot College services, offices, programs, and resources.
Assist with check-in systems, computers, kiosks, QR codes, and other self-service tools.
Refer students to appropriate services, including Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, Counseling, Student Equity, and basic needs resources.
Support operations of the Fresh Market, including stocking, organizing, distributing, and receiving food and supplies.
Assist with Coffee Bar operations and maintain clean and organized service areas.
Support outreach, events, workshops, and other Hub activities.
Maintain student privacy and follow college procedures.
Work collaboratively with other Student Equity Ambassadors and college staff.
Participate in training and work across Hub service areas as needed.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
Be currently enrolled at Chabot College and eligible for student employment.
Have strong communication and customer service skills.
Be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with diverse students.
Be willing to learn about Chabot College programs and resources.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work in all areas of the Gladiator Resource Hub.
Previous experience in customer service, peer support, food service, reception, outreach, or campus employment is helpful but not required.
