ANNOUNCEMENT OF A VACANCY:

LONG TERM LEAVE REPLACEMENT SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of classroom delivery, classroom
management, IEP implementation and parent contact/correspondence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● New York State certification in Students with Disabilities Generalist K-12/5-9.
● Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
● 1-3 years teaching in a middle school environment with exposure to the Resource Room
setting preferred.
● Bilingual communication skills preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
TITLE: Special Education Teacher
SALARY: Long Term Substitute Rate ($285) and/or per STA Contract
LOCATION: Accompsett Middle School
