Accounting Staff

Accounting Staff (Graduating Seniors) 
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping by accurately recording financial transactions.
  • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts under the supervision of managers or seniors.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Support payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
  • Prepare sales tax, property tax, and other compliance-related filings as assigned.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Learn and utilize cloud-based accounting software and other technology tools to improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships by providing timely, professional service.
  • Assist with other accounting, bookkeeping, and consulting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPA eligibility or progress toward obtaining a CPA is a plus.
  •  Japanese language skills are preferred.
