Job Summary
Sales and Distribution interns will be responsible for supporting the external sales team, fielding advisor calls and emails, following up on leads, sharing product and performance information, and keeping the CRM current so that every relationship in the territory gets attention between in-person visits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build the sales team's travel calendar by calling and emailing advisors in each territory to schedule meetings, then sequencing appointments so every trip is full and efficiently routed.
- Confirm meetings ahead of each trip, reschedule cancellations, and fill open slots with nearby advisors so travel days stay productive.
- Handle the follow-up after each trip, sending requested materials and setting next steps so the conversation continues between visits.
- Field inbound advisor calls and emails with accurate information on the firm's strategies and vehicles, escalating portfolio-level questions to the investment team.
- Keep the CRM current with meeting notes, contact details and pipeline status so the sales team always knows where each relationship stands.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Outstanding academic background
- Junior/Senior standing
- Comfortable and confident on the phone, with clear written communication and the persistence to follow up until a meeting is on the calendar.
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple territories, time zones and travel dates without letting anything slip.
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook; prior exposure to a CRM such as Salesforce is a plus but not required.
- Interest in investment management and a willingness to learn the firm's strategies well enough to speak about them accurately with advisors.
