MedServ Marketplace is a flexible, project-based platform — often described as the “Uber for Biomed Techs” — connecting skilled BMETs, engineers, and semi-skilled technicians with hospitals, OEMs, and ISOs for high-impact, short-term and long-term assignments.
We are currently staffing an immediate, short-term diagnostic and repair field service engagement for a critical STERIS Reliance Synergy Washer/Disinfector unit at a medical facility in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Project Dates: Flexible Dispatch (Single-day field service visit with ongoing project opportunities)
Schedule: High-impact window, approximately 8–10 hours total per dispatch
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
We welcome entry-level BMETs, semi-skilled technical professionals, graduate electrical/mechanical engineers, and clinically experienced technicians looking for hands-on hospital field experience.
Role Overview
Technicians will perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, component replacement, and functional verification on sterile processing equipment, working alongside senior operations engineers and OEM subject matter experts. Responsibilities include:
Pre-Dispatch Alignment: Participating in brief technical briefings with Lead Operations Engineers and STERIS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review technical drawings and schematics.
On-Site Diagnostics & Signal Tracing: Inspecting access paneling, checking signal voltage across control boards/keypads, and evaluating pneumatic door actuators, limit switches, and solenoid valve assemblies.
Targeted Part Replacement: Installing OEM or equivalent replacement sub-assemblies (provided directly after initial troubleshooting).
Testing & Verification: Performing live wash/disinfection test cycles verifying 100% door actuation via control keypads and validating pneumatic pressure seal integrity.
Digital Documentation: Completing digital service work orders and uploading diagnostic photo documentation upon job completion.
Clinical Purpose: This project services critical Sterile Processing Department (SPD) infrastructure, specifically a STERIS Reliance Synergy Washer/Disinfector and dedicated oil-free air compressor system supplying pneumatic pressure.
Additional Scope & Future Use Cases: Beyond this engagement, network technicians gain hands-on exposure to a wide variety of medical equipment projects, including:
Autoclave & Steam Sterilizer Preventive Maintenance (PM): Inspecting door gaskets, steam traps, relief valves, and pressure transducers on STERIS AMSCO and Getinge sterilizers.
Ultrasonic Cleaner & Washer-Disinfector Commissioning: Installing and calibrating chemical dosing pumps, heating elements, and water filtration systems for Belimed, STERIS, and Tuttnauer units.
Pneumatic Air Compressor Servicing: Diagnosing oil-free air compressors (e.g., California Air Tools 20020AD), verifying cut-in/cut-out PSI pressures, auto-drain solenoids, and regulators.
Surgical & Operating Room Infrastructure Upgrades: Installing, retrofitting, and servicing surgical lights, boom arms, and patient monitors in OR/SPD environments.
Note: OEM technical guidance and schematic support will be fully provided prior to and during on-site deployment.
