POSITION TITLE  

Global Sourcing Intern 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting real business priorities within Global Sourcing. The intern will contribute to meaningful projects across procure-to-pay processes, supplier engagement, category management support, data gathering, documentation, and process improvement. This role is designed to provide practical experience in a fast-paced sourcing environment while building foundational capabilities in problem solving, communication, analysis, and teamwork. 

This internship is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid position that is 11–12 weeks in length during the summer of 2027, located at our Roger Milliken Center, Spartanburg, SC location. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Support strategic initiatives within Global Sourcing, including procure-to-pay process support and supplier transition efforts. 

Assist with RFP scoping, documentation, and supplier communication activities. 

Collect, review, and organize supplier or site-level data to support business decisions and sourcing recommendations. 

Partner with plants and internal stakeholders to develop statements of work for non-production facility services. 

Support requirement scoping and information gathering for waste services and material handling asset tracking initiatives. 

Analyze information and provide recommendations related to process improvements, asset utilization, supplier options, or working capital opportunities. 

Prepare reports, presentations, or process documentation and present project findings, recommendations, or results. 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED 

Candidates with or working toward a BS in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. 

Strong user of Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced Excel skills. 

Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills. 

Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style. 

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED 

Exposure to sourcing, procurement, supply chain, data analysis, SAP, ARIBA, Microsoft Office, or AI platforms. 

Prior internship, project, or relevant experience.
