About the Role
Are you a pre-health student looking to get hands-on clinical exposure and stand out on your applications? As a Medical Scribe, you’ll work side-by-side with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, documenting real patient encounters and learning how medical decisions are made in real time.
Your role helps providers focus on what matters most: patient care, while you gain a behind-the-scenes look at the world of medicine.

What You’ll Do
- Accompany providers during patient exams and document visits in real time
- Record patient histories, exams, and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Retrieve lab results, prior charts, and imaging reports
- Track and document procedures and provider orders
- Ensure charts are accurate, complete, and ready for provider review
- Support providers and the clinical team with documentation and workflow tasks

What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Reliable and committed team members who thrive in fast-paced environments
- Minimum typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to work a minimum of 16-18 hours per week (nights, weekends, or holidays as needed), with a minimum commitment of one-year
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- Pre-med, pre-PA, or nursing students encouraged to apply
