News & Journalism Intern — Christian Media

GNN | Remote + Some Field Reporting

GNN is a growing independent Christian digital news startup covering breaking news, politics, government, national and world news, culture, entertainment, faith, community, and trending stories. We report from a distinctly Christian perspective with a commitment to truth, accuracy, integrity, and responsible journalism.

We are seeking a motivated college student who is a professing Christian, passionate about journalism, and comfortable working from a biblical worldview within a Christ-centered culture.

We are especially looking for action takers — students who are proactive, resourceful, eager to learn, and equally eager to contribute. Because we are a growing startup, this role is best for someone who can take initiative, bring ideas to the table, help solve problems, and get involved in building the company alongside us.

What You’ll Do

Research and report on breaking, national, world, political, entertainment, cultural, and faith-related news

Write news articles and digital content

Fact-check information and verify sources

Assist with investigative research and reporting

Pitch story ideas and identify trending stories

Assist with interviews and field reporting

Create content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, and other platforms

Help develop ideas and strategies to grow the Good News Now audience and brand

Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy

Open to feedback and ready to learn quickly

Comfortable covering complex or controversial topics

Excited to contribute ideas and help build a new Christian media company

Students majoring in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Media Studies, Political Science, English/Writing, Film/Television, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Experience with video, photography, on-camera reporting, Canva, Adobe, WordPress, podcasting, or social media strategy is a plus, but not required.

Location

Primarily remote, but may require onsite reporting, interviews, events, research assignments, or breaking-news coverage.
