Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Account Manager

Senior Account Manager – Healthcare Revenue Cycle

Optimax Consulting Services
Full-Time | $27.00–$30.00/hour

About the Role

Optimax Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Account Manager – Healthcare Revenue Cycle to manage healthcare client relationships and oversee the financial and operational performance of assigned accounts.

This position combines business management, client relationship management, healthcare operations, and revenue cycle management (RCM). Our Account Managers do more than monitor billing activity—they work directly with clients to understand their business, analyze performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and coordinate solutions across multiple operational teams.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, working with data, communicating with clients and leadership, and turning problems into actionable solutions.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary business relationship contact for assigned healthcare clients.

Build and maintain relationships with physicians, administrators, practice managers, and other client stakeholders.

Lead client meetings and communicate financial performance, operational concerns, recommendations, and next steps.

Develop a strong understanding of each client's business operations, financial goals, workflows, and priorities.

Monitor key performance indicators, including accounts receivable, collections, denials, reimbursement, and other RCM metrics.

Analyze performance trends and identify financial or operational opportunities.

Investigate problems, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective action.

Maintain oversight of the full revenue cycle, from charge capture through final account resolution.

Collaborate with billing, coding, cash management, credentialing, call center, systems, and other operational teams.

Work effectively with both domestic and global/offshore teams.

Manage multiple client priorities, projects, deadlines, and follow-up items independently.

Support process improvement, client implementations, training, and organizational initiatives.

Serve as a resource and mentor to developing team members when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate combines business acumen, strong client-management skills, analytical thinking, and personal accountability.

Highly Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.

Experience in account management, client management, business operations, healthcare administration, consulting, or another client-facing business role.

Healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) or medical billing experience.

Experience managing professional relationships with physicians, executives, administrators, business owners, or other decision-makers.

Experience analyzing financial or operational performance and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professional presence and confidence communicating with clients and leadership.

Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to independently manage competing priorities and follow projects through completion.

Strong organization and attention to detail.

Ability to navigate challenging client or operational conversations professionally.

Ability to collaborate across departments, locations, cultures, and time zones.

Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and commitment to professional growth.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Account Managers at Optimax don't simply report what happened. They understand why it happened, what it means for the client's business, and what should happen next.

You'll thrive in this position if you:

Take ownership rather than waiting for direction.

Think about the client's overall business, not just individual billing tasks.

Use data to support decisions and recommendations.

Recognize potential problems before they become escalations.

Build strong client relationships while maintaining accountability.

Look for root causes rather than temporary fixes.

Communicate clearly across departments and with leadership.

Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and performance.

Are motivated to expand your knowledge of healthcare, business, and revenue cycle management.

Compensation

$27.00–$30.00 per hour

Starting compensation will be determined based on relevant business and client management experience, healthcare revenue cycle expertise, education, and overall qualifications.
