SMDC Technical Center Internship

PCI Productions, LLC is seeking college students and recent graduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines for the 2027 U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center STEM Internship Program.

This 8–10 week summer internship, beginning in early June 2027, provides students with hands-on experience supporting real-world research, engineering, and technology-development projects at or in support of the SMDC Technical Center at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

Interns are matched with projects based on their academic background, technical skills, interests, and Technical Center requirements. Depending on the assignment, interns may support:

  • Engineering design and analysis
  • Research and development
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Software development and computer science
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Laboratory, test, and evaluation activities
  • Preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation

Interns will work with government scientists, engineers, technical professionals, and project leads while gaining exposure to Army space, missile defense, high-altitude, and other advanced technology mission areas.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be 18 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Be a full-time college student or recent graduate in good academic standing
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in a STEM or other relevant technical discipline
  • Meet applicable Government identification, facility-access, and security requirements
  • Be able to meet the SECRET security clearance requirements applicable to the position

U.S. citizenship is required by the applicable Federal Government contract because these positions support contractor duties at a Government site involving access to classified information.

Relevant Fields of Study

Relevant majors include aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer, software, and systems engineering; computer science; cybersecurity; physics; mathematics; data science; materials science; and other related STEM disciplines.
