Practical Nursing Instructor

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, Globe, Watertown, New York

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $60,000-72,000. This is a full-time, 10-month position. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement. Health insurance, which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies.

DUTIES: Nursing Instructor position: full-time/daytime faculty position in the Practical Nursing Program. Position will perform professional duties including didactic, simulation lab and clinical instruction. Additional responsibilities include program development, including course and program revision, assessment development and monitoring, assisting with accreditation, student advisement and discipline, and performing other professional duties as directed and/or approved by the Health Careers Coordinator or Director of Adult & Continuing Education.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master of Science in Nursing is required for full-time instructor positions. Bachelor of Science holders will be considered for clinical roles only
• Unencumbered New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
• Minimum experience two years as an RN with medical-surgical experience
• Current BLS card, BLS Instructor preferred
• Pre-Employment Assessment and NYSED Requirements:
• Approved fingerprints prior to hire date, DASA Training and SAVE Workshop, Child Abuse Identification Workshop, and acquisition of certification as per hire.
