Software Engineer Intern
About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern who enjoys solving problems, building technology, and learning by doing.
You will work alongside engineering and product teams to build, test, and improve real software solutions. Depending on the project, you may contribute to backend services, APIs, applications, data-driven systems, AI, automation, IoT, or other emerging technologies.
This internship is an opportunity to apply what you have learned through coursework and projects while gaining hands-on experience building software in a collaborative engineering environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and improve software applications and services.
- Build APIs, backend services, and reusable software components.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Help integrate applications with APIs, databases, devices, and external systems.
- Test and debug software, investigate technical issues, and improve application performance.
- Work with engineers and product teams to turn requirements and ideas into functional solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and team development practices.
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Contribute to projects involving technologies such as AI, automation, IoT, or cloud platforms.
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices while working on real-world projects.
Skills We’re Looking For
You do not need professional experience or knowledge of every technology listed below. We are looking for strong fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn.
- Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or a similar language
- Understanding of basic Data Structures and Algorithms
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming and software development concepts
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or web applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and technical concepts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience gained through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, research, student organizations, open-source contributions, or previous internships is welcome.

Exposure to any of the following is helpful, but not required:
- REST APIs
