$50–60/hour · After-School Architecture Instructor · Brooklyn & Hoboken
KidzArchitects (founded 2025) leads after-school workshops that introduce children (grades K–8) to architecture, design, and urban planning through immersive, hands-on projects. This fall we're hiring 35+ instructors across 20+ schools. You'll guide students through creative challenges, explore the work of visionary architects through our custom workbook, and help each child build a project they're proud to take home — no two sessions are ever the same.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging after-school architecture sessions for children in grades K–8
- Deliver our curriculum using the materials and lesson plans we provide
- Guide students through hands-on building projects and design challenges
- Maintain a warm, encouraging, and well-managed classroom
What we're looking for
- Student, graduate, or freelancer with a background or strong interest in architecture, arts, design, urban planning, or education
- Experience working with children (teaching, camp, tutoring, mentoring, or similar)
- Creativity, patience, reliability, and confidence leading a group of young children
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S.; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship
What we offer
- $50–60 per hour
- Referral bonus when you bring in a new contract or school
- A complete training program — no architecture degree required
- All materials and lesson plans provided, so you focus on the kids, not the prep
- A flexible part-time schedule, with remaining openings on Monday afternoons in Hoboken and Tuesday and Friday afternoons in Brooklyn
- Start date: September 2026
