Senior Accountant

This full-time in-person position oversees the daily accounting operations for various affiliated companies operating in healthcare industry as part of a centralized business office, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, payroll, and financial reporting. This position will implement necessary processes and procedures to operate an effective and efficient accounting department and ensure compliance with required regulations. Key roles include, but are not limited to, analyzing financial data, managing cash flow, and providing insights for strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analyze and record daily transactions for numerous established and start-up companies, including a non-profit entity, as part of a newly-formed centralized business office.

· Monitor and manage accounts payable for each company, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices into QuickBooks Online, and ensure proper approval before payment.

· Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure accurate reporting and timely payment of claims, including reconciliation of data from EMR to QuickBooks Online.

· Oversee payroll for +300 employees and per diem staff across numerous companies using QuickBooks Online. Ensure accurate and timely employee compensation and tax compliance.

· Oversee month-end close process for all companies, including timely reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card activity.

· Prepare monthly financial reporting package for each company, and collaborate with management to determine relevant financial metrics to evaluate the various businesses.

· Implement necessary processes and procedures to operate an effective and efficient accounting department.

· Ensure compliance with required regulations for operators in the healthcare industry, including preparation of annual cost report to Medicare certification.

· Ensure compliance with requirements of operating a non-profit entity.

· Determine fair and reasonable method of allocating centralized business office costs between the various affiliated companies.

· Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

· Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: .

· Four-year college degree in accounting, finance or other related field.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.

· Three to five years of professional accounting experience.

· Detailed understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts.

· Experience in healthcare industry preferred.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced MS Excel skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $72,404.70 - $102,379.86 per year
