Logistics & Scheduling Intern (DANCE) – Department of Theater Arts - FWS 

Description: 
The Dance Program is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Logistics & Scheduling Intern to assist with rehearsal coordination. This role provides hands-on experience in logistical planning and operations within a professional dance/theater setting. Key duties include: 

Rehearsal Scheduling: Create and maintain weekly rehearsal schedules, act as a point of contact for dancers and staff, ensure space bookings, and coordinate appropriate crew members for materials and equipment during sessions. 

Logistical Coordination: Track rehearsal progress, communicate changes or delays, anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts, and send out updates and reminders. 

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of schedules, dancer availability, and logistical notes; assist with administrative tasks as needed. 

Qualifications: 

Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities 

Adaptability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

Experience with scheduling tools (Google Calendar, Excel) is a plus. 

Interest or background in dance, theater, or performing arts preferred. 

 

Fall 2026 Availability:  

The FWS intern & Supervisor will work collaboratively to establish a consistent schedule that supports the needs of the position, with an anticipated commitment of approximately 8–10 hours per week between Monday - Saturday. Sundays periodically as needed. 

Primary Work Sites:  

Oddfellows Building: 1851 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20010 

Dance Institute of Washington: 3400 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20010 

Spring 2027 Availability:  

Monday – Friday, 5pm–10pm. Saturday availability during any performances or other Dance Programmatic Events. Sundays periodically as needed.

Chadwick A Boseman College of Fine Arts, basement level Dance Studio & Offices
