Nurtured Roots Collective is looking for a warm, reliable tutor to join our growing team in La Mesa. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working one-on-one with students and has a background or interest in education.
What you'll do:
- Provide individualized academic support to elementary and middle school students
- Support students in areas such as reading, writing, math, and study skills
- Communicate with our team about student progress
- Create a positive, encouraging environment for students
We're looking for someone who:
- Has teaching, tutoring, or other experience working with students
- Is dependable, patient, and comfortable adapting to different learners
- Is comfortable with both in-person and virtual sessions
- Has some availability during after-school hours, generally 2:30–6:00 PM
- Education majors, credential candidates, graduate students, and current/former teachers are encouraged to apply
Schedule:
Part-time and flexible; hours will depend on student needs and tutor availability.
Location: La Mesa, CA + some virtual sessions
