Marketing Intern
Marketing Intern
STRDL Management | Internship | Remote | 15–25 hours/week
About the role
We are hiring a college intern for a major marketing archive project. You will help download, name, organize, and preserve a large library of marketing and media files. A central part of this role is learning our internal naming convention and the larger system behind it, including show themes, channel types, dates, versions, and how files fit across multiple channels.
This is not observation-only work. You will get hands-on responsibility, work with real content, and contribute to a system the team actually uses.
Why this internship is different
This internship gives you direct exposure to real projects and real decision-making. You will work closely with leadership, learn current tools quickly, and see how a fast-moving organization handles marketing, media, and archive work without the long approval cycles of a larger company. You will also gain practical experience with modern workflows, including AI-assisted tools, and learn by doing instead of only studying theory.
Our team works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Hours can flex around classes, but you need regular weekday overlap with that window for questions, access issues, and review. Aim for at least 3 hours of overlap on most weekdays.
What you will do
- Download media, especially video, from approved sources and prepare it for the archive
- Apply our proprietary naming convention to files, folders, and related assets
- Learn the larger naming system, including show themes, series logic, channel labels, dates, versions, and other identifiers
- Organize content so it can be found quickly across multiple media channels
- Transfer, sort, rename, and document large batches of files
- Archive finished and working files according to our storage rules
- Review archives for duplicates, missing information, inconsistencies, and misplaced assets
- Do light editing when needed, such as trims, renames, basic cleanup, or exports
- Check that names, folders, and metadata match the correct show, theme, and channel
- Support marketing use of archived clips, stills, and other show assets
- Handle proprietary content carefully and confidentially
What you will learn
- How a large-scale media naming system works in practice
- How show themes and channel structures shape file organization
- How real archive systems stay consistent as new content arrives
- Basic archive habits for video and related marketing assets
- Light editing, version control, and quality-control habits for reusable content
- Exposure to current marketing, archival, and AI-assisted workflows in a fast-moving environment
Required qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student
- Strong attention to detail and comfort following a precise naming system
- Ability to learn a proprietary, large-scale organization system and use it consistently
- Basic comfort downloading, saving, and organizing video or other media files
- Willingness to do careful, repetitive file work without losing accuracy
- Strong organization, time management, and clear written communication
- Comfort with spreadsheets and shared drives
- Good judgment with confidential materials
- Your own reliable computer capable of handling large file transfers
- Stable, high-speed internet suitable for frequent transfer of large files, preferably fiber or equivalent with no restrictive data caps
- Ability to use a wired Ethernet connection when needed
- A secure, private workspace
- Willingness to follow company security rules, including company-managed accounts, multi-factor authentication, and approved storage only
- Availability of about 15 to 25 hours most weeks with reliable overlap during Eastern Time business hours
Preferred qualifications
- Interest in marketing, business, communications, digital media, archives, or content operations
- Some experience with file organization, cloud storage, or media libraries
