Part-Time Farm Enrichment Lead Teacher / Assistant Teacher
Soaring Chicken Farm Ministry is a nonprofit educational farm located in San Juan Capistrano, California. We provide hands-on farm enrichment classes where children learn through animal care, gardening, nature exploration, and other outdoor activities.
We are looking for part-time Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our Farm Enrichment Team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, animals, nature, and hands-on learning. Our teachers spend their days outside helping children learn, explore, care for animals, and experience life on the farm.
Schedule
We are currently hiring for:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday:
8:30 AM–2:30 PM
Thursday:
1:00–3:00 PM
Candidates do not necessarily need to be available all four days. Please let us know which days you are available when applying.
Responsibilities May Include
- Assist with or lead hands-on enrichment activities for children
- Supervise and engage students throughout the farm day
- Help students safely interact with and care for farm animals
- Lead or assist with gardening, nature activities, crafts, games, and other farm-based lessons
- Help maintain a positive, welcoming, and safe learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and transitions between activities
- Work collaboratively with other members of our teaching team
- Help with basic setup and cleanup before and after activities

- Are comfortable working outside and around farm animals
- Have some experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, camps, childcare, coaching, church programs, volunteering, or similar activities
College students studying education, child development, psychology, liberal studies, environmental science, biology, animal science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Our farm enrichment programs primarily serve homeschool families in the South Orange County community.
