Fashion Showroom and Wholesale Sales Assistant

New Mark Showroom is a women’s fashion wholesale sales agency based in Nanuet, New York. We represent contemporary clothing, jewelry, and accessory brands and work with boutiques and major retailers throughout the Northeast.

We are looking for an energetic, organized, and outgoing assistant to gain hands-on experience in fashion sales, merchandising, customer relations, and wholesale showroom operations. This is not a traditional desk job. The assistant will work in the showroom and travel to boutique appointments and fashion trade shows.

Responsibilities:

• Travel with the showroom owner to boutique appointments throughout the Northeast
• Drive the employer’s vehicle between appointments
• Help prepare for and organize daily appointments
• Assist with presenting clothing, jewelry, and accessory collections
• Help merchandise collections and organize samples
• Assist with writing and entering customer orders
• Communicate professionally with boutique owners and buyers
• Help set up and work at fashion trade shows
• Support general showroom organization and daily operations
• Carry, organize, and transport samples and showroom materials

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

Each workday begins and ends in Nanuet, NY. This position requires frequent daily travel throughout the Northeast, and candidates must be available for complete workdays. Short shifts or working between classes cannot be accommodated because appointment locations and hours vary.

We are primarily seeking one full-time assistant, but we may consider two part-time college students who can work full days on different days of the week. Students must schedule their classes and other commitments on their nonworking days. Occasional early mornings, extended days, overnight travel, and fashion trade shows may be required.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and confidence driving another person’s vehicle
• Reliable transportation to and from Nanuet
• Comfortable with frequent travel and long periods in the car
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented
• Friendly and confident when meeting customers and buyers
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using a computer and learning order-entry systems
• Able to lift, carry, and organize clothing samples and rolling racks
• Interest in fashion, sales, merchandising, marketing, retail, or business

Previous fashion or sales experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable with the travel requirements.
