About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Culinary Instructor to lead hands-on cooking classes for elementary students. Students will learn kitchen safety, cooking fundamentals, teamwork, and creativity through fun, age-appropriate recipes.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging cooking classes using provided curriculum.
- Teach kitchen safety and basic cooking techniques.
- Prepare ingredients and materials before each class.
- Maintain a clean, organized learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with school staff.
- Submit brief after-class updates following each session.
Requirements
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is required
- Candidates should have strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must be comfortable leading hands-on cooking activities
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the program team
- Submit after-class reports
- Must be available for the Fall schedule.
- Applicant must be residing in Newark or within 20 miles of Newark.
