About Tecno Display

Tecno Display manufactures commercial display cases, showcases, cabinets, and custom retail fixtures. We are looking for an engineering student or recent graduate who wants practical, hands-on experience turning ideas into real products.

This is not a desk-only engineering position. You will work with our production team to create CNC programs, build and test prototypes, design new products, improve existing products, and solve real manufacturing problems.

We will provide training, coaching, and support. You do not need to arrive knowing every machine, material, or software program. We are looking for someone who is curious, mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Work On

• Create and revise CNC programs for cabinet parts and other manufactured components
• Convert drawings and product concepts into CNC-ready files
• Design and build prototypes for new cabinets, showcases, fixtures, and related products
• Develop 3D models, production drawings, cut lists, and bills of materials
• Test prototypes and make design changes based on fit, appearance, strength, cost, and manufacturability
• Improve existing products to make them easier, faster, and less expensive to manufacture
• Design jigs, fixtures, templates, and other tools that improve production
• Help standardize cabinet construction, hardware placement, machining, and assembly methods
• Assist with selecting materials, hardware, fasteners, and manufacturing processes
• Review completed parts and help troubleshoot machining or assembly problems
• Reduce material waste and improve sheet-layout efficiency
• Document CNC programs, product revisions, and production procedures
• Work with production employees to understand shop-floor challenges and develop practical solutions
• Help evaluate new equipment, tooling, software, and manufacturing capabilities
• Support special projects involving wood, plastics, acrylic, metal, glass, or other materials
• Perform other engineering and product-development tasks based on your interests and the company’s needs

Qualifications

We encourage students from mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, engineering technology, product design, or similar programs to apply.

A strong candidate will have:

• An interest in CNC machining, manufacturing, product design, or cabinet construction
• Some experience with CAD, CAM, 3D modeling, technical drawings, or engineering coursework
• The ability to measure accurately and work with dimensions, tolerances, and basic geometry
• A willingness to work both at a computer and on the production floor
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to communicate with production employees and learn from experienced team members
• Dependability and the ability to follow projects through to completion
• A willingness to ask questions, accept coaching, and learn new systems

Previous professional CNC programming or cabinet-manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Schedule

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Your schedule can be arranged around your classes and school commitments, provided your working hours fall within our normal operating hours.
