Salary Range

Essential Functions
The Director of Enrollment Reporting & Analytics provides divisional leadership for enrollment data management, reporting, analytics, data quality, and projection modeling. Reporting to the AVP for Enrollment Management, the position owns recurring data and analytical workflows supporting recruitment, application processing, direct admissions, dual credit, partner reporting, and executive decision-making. The director integrates information from Slate, PeopleSoft, OnBase, Common App, ApplyTexas, UTPB Direct Admissions, Encoura, College Board, and other approved sources; establishes reliable reporting and validation practices; develops dashboards, funnel analyses, forecasts, and recommendations; and coordinates data-sharing, vendor, and cross-functional work with Institutional Research, Information Technology, enrollment offices, school districts, two-year partners, and state agencies. The AVP retains final authority for divisional strategy, staffing, budgets, policy, and institutional commitments.
Enrollment Data and Platform Management
1. Own data-management and reporting workflows for Common App, ApplyTexas, UTPB Direct Admissions, Encoura, College Board, Slate, PeopleSoft, OnBase, and other approved enrollment sources.
2. Manage the OnBase document repository and related workflows for Enrollment Management admission documents.
3. Coordinate approved data imports, exports, integrations, and recurring exchanges and reconcile records across enrollment systems and external sources.
4. Maintain current documentation, data dictionaries, business rules, report specifications, schedules, and standard operating procedures for assigned data and reporting processes.
Partner, Regulatory, and Specialized Reporting
5. Oversee scheduled data-sharing agreements and recurring data exchanges with independent school districts, two-year institutions, and other authorized partners.
6. Manage UTPB Direct Admissions reporting and related data-quality, reconciliation, and partner requirements.
7. Lead Dual Credit THECB FAST reporting in coordination with Institutional Research, Dual Credit, THECB, TEA, and other responsible offices.
8. Manage Transfer Calculator first-source reporting, validation, documentation, and issue resolution with responsible partners.
Analytics, Dashboards, and Projections
9. Design, execute, maintain, and improve customized reports using Slate, Argos, Tableau, Excel, SPSS, Python, SQL, or other approved reporting and analytics tools.
10. Develop dashboards, tables, visualizations, and KPI reporting for recruitment funnels, applications, admission, yield, enrollment, direct admissions, dual credit, and partner performance.
11. Conduct funnel analytics and develop enrollment forecasts, projection models, and scenario analyses in collaboration with internal and external partners; document assumptions, methods, limitations, and results.
12. Integrate approved external data sources to enhance enrollment intelligence, benchmark performance, and contextualize UTPB enrollment results.
13. Produce executive-ready analyses, present key findings and insights, and communicate conclusions, risks, options, and recommendations verbally and in writing.
Data Quality, Validity, and Governance
14. Establish and maintain data-validity checks; audit, reconcile, clean, transform, and integrate data; and document corrective action or escalation when discrepancies are identified.
15. Review reports, dashboards, models, and data products for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and appropriate interpretation before release.
16. Develop and implement plans for report and model maintenance, improvement, enhancement, version control, and continuity.
Leadership, Vendor, and Workflow Coordination
17. Manage renewal, data, analytics, and reporting requirements for Common App, ApplyTexas, UTPB Direct Admissions, Encoura, College Board, and other assigned vendors or partners within delegated authority.
18. Prioritize and monitor reporting and information requests, assign or delegate project work as authorized, review outputs for quality, and provide leadership for the Enrollment Management data reporting and analysis agenda.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, information systems, computer science, institutional research, higher education administration, business analytics, or a related field.
2. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, institutional research, enrollment systems, or a related area.
3. Experience querying, transforming, validating, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets and developing dashboards or recurring decision-support products.
4. Experience working with a CRM, student information system, document-management system, relational database, external data feed, or comparable institutional platform.
5. Experience developing forecasts, projection models, scenario analyses, or comparable analytical products and communicating findings to leadership.
6. Experience coordinating complex cross-functional data or reporting initiatives with recurring deadlines and confidential student or institutional information.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in a related field.
2. Experience with Slate, PeopleSoft, OnBase, Tableau, Argos, Excel, SPSS, Python, SQL, or comparable platforms and tools.
3. Experience with Common App, ApplyTexas, Encoura, College Board, direct-admissions programs, or other external enrollment data sources.
4. Experience with THECB, TEA, dual-credit reporting, data-sharing agreements, or higher-education regulatory and partner reporting.
5. Experience coordinating vendor renewals, data requirements, analytics deliverables, or complex projects.
6. Supervisory, work-lead, project-lead, data-governance, or formal quality-assurance experience.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
