Procurement Intern
What this Department does:
The Project Management department manages all the capital projects for Tallgrass including natural gas, hydrogen and ammonia transportation, and CO2 sequestration
Responsibilities
What will you do:
The selected candidates will work in the Tallgrass Project Management department in Houston, Texas. The intern’s main responsibility will be to support the Procurement Manager in the day-to-day running of a major project. You will become part of the project management team of a project.
You can expect to:
- Assisting in the evaluation of technical bids and proposals, organizing bid tabulations, etc.
- Data quality review of third-party engineering deliverables Aiding in the creating procurement processes and procedures.
- Supporting the auditing efforts, maintaining logs of requests and keeping minutes of meetings
- Cataloging and archiving vendor documents
- Assist in preparation of reports and ad Hoc tasks as requested by the Procurement Manager.
You will learn:
The intern will learn the basic tasks of running a large capital project and be exposed to the decision-making processes of project engineering.
Qualifications
What will you bring:
Education:
Students actively enrolled in an approved bachelor’s or master’s Industrial Engineering and or Supply Chain program with expected graduation date of December 2026- May 2028.
Experience/Specific Knowledge
- Microsoft Office expert level
- Excellent math skills

What else do you need to know:
Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Houston office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
Compensation And Other Benefits
- Pay Range $20.90-$37.09 USD hourly
- The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.
