Clinical Research Finance Specialist
The University of Rochester's Office of Clinical Research is hiring an early-career Finance Specialist to support the financial side of clinical trials — budgets, invoicing, and study tracking — while learning how research is funded and run.
No finance degree required. We're most excited about candidates with a background in life sciences or an interest in clinical research. We'll train you on the systems.
You'll:
- Help build and negotiate study budgets with investigators
- Learn CTMS and build study calendars tied to protocol schedules
- Prepare invoices and track payments through reconciliation
- Support investigators and study teams as a key point of contact
- Grow into research finance through hands-on training and mentorship
You bring:
- A Bachelors in life sciences, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years in research, healthcare, or financial administration
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Curiosity about clinical trials and willingness to learn new systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
