Media (Photo) Team Member
Media (Photo) Team
Job Description: At Covenant Harbor, our mission is simple: love kids and share Jesus. The Media Team plays one of the most important roles in making this possible, capturing and telling the story of camp that inspires families, engages campers, and reflects God’s work in this place. We are looking for staff who have a committed and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, who are ready to serve with humility, and who want to create a fun environment where campers feel valued, safe, cared for, and encouraged to know Jesus more.
Role Overview: The Media Team Member (Photo) is responsible for visually documenting Covenant Harbor’s summer experience. This includes capturing high-quality photos of campers, staff, and activities to share with parents during the week and for use in future marketing materials. Supplemental video footage will also be captured to help tell the story of camp throughout the year. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Media Team Member will be trained to assist in at least one additional area of camp (e.g., camp store, waterfront, activities, or ropes course).
Specific Expectations
- Live Out the Mission: Love campers wholeheartedly and point them to Jesus through your words, actions, and daily life in and outside of camp.
- Capture the Story: Take a diverse range of photos each day, showcasing campers, staff, activities, and the beauty of Covenant Harbor.
- Support Marketing & Communication: Edit and organize photos, manage uploads, and collaborate with the staff to meet daily and future content needs, and create a photo storage management system.
- Produce Supplemental Video: Capture short, engaging video clips for use in promotional materials.
- Steward Resources Well: Steward camera equipment by keeping it clean, organized, and in working order; communicate supply needs to supervisor.
- Be Creative & Engaging: Work with your team to make each week’s activities fun, unique, and memorable, and maintain punctuality in the schedule.
- Assist Beyond Photography: Learn to support other Media Team responsibilities and contribute to at least one additional camp area.
- Support Overnight Counseling Team: Join overnight camp programs after Day Camp to assist the larger counseling team and deepen camper connections.
- Be able and willing: Go above and beyond even your own expectations and serve wherever is needed!
