Start Date: September 7, 2026
Pay: $25–$40/hour, based on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Yoga Instructor to lead an engaging enrichment program for young learners.

You'll introduce students to yoga through age-appropriate movement, stretching, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities. The goal is to create a positive and welcoming environment where students can move, build confidence, develop body awareness, and enjoy being active.

This role isn't about advanced poses or creating professional yogis. It's about helping students develop healthy movement habits, focus, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in a supportive environment.

You do not need to be a traditional classroom teacher to apply. If you have experience with yoga, movement, mindfulness, fitness, or leading wellness activities and enjoy working with children, we encourage you to apply.

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, so you'll have a clear foundation for each class while still having room to bring your own energy, personality, and teaching style.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging and age-appropriate yoga sessions
  • Guide students through basic yoga poses, stretches, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities
  • Demonstrate movements clearly and provide modifications when needed
  • Encourage students to develop flexibility, balance, coordination, and body awareness
  • Create a calm, positive, and supportive learning environment
  • Incorporate breathing and mindfulness activities to support focus and relaxation
  • Encourage participation without making students feel pressured or intimidated
  • Adapt activities to different abilities, comfort levels, and experience levels
  • Promote confidence, self-awareness, and positive peer interaction
  • Monitor students and promote safe movement practices
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to engage students

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience or familiarity with yoga, movement, mindfulness, fitness, or wellness activities
  • Can confidently demonstrate and guide basic yoga movements
  • Enjoys working with children
  • Is patient, encouraging, and approachable
  • Is comfortable leading groups of students
  • Can adapt movements and activities for different abilities and experience levels
  • Understands basic safety practices for physical activities
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is reliable, professional, and organized
  • Can follow provided curriculum while bringing positive energy to the classroom

Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Experience in yoga instruction, fitness, coaching, mindfulness, wellness programs, physical education, camps, youth programs, tutoring, or mentoring is a plus.

We encourage yoga instructors, fitness instructors, dancers, coaches, wellness professionals, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, camp counselors, youth leaders, and individuals with a passion for movement and mindfulness to apply.

  • Competitive Pay: Earn $25–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications
