Position Summary:

This part-time position (25 hours/week) performs moderate (journey-level) eligibility and case management work under the National Council on Aging (NCOA) through the Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC) model. Work involves clerical, eligibility determination, and general administrative support within the program. This position will be responsible for responding to inquiries regarding SNAP, SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare Part D and/or Low-Income Subsidy, (LIS), and the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). This is a grant-funded position with an end date of July 31, 2028. Continuation of employment beyond this date is not guaranteed.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required 
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to all assigned work locations. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of public health essential services
  • Knowledge of local social service and resource agencies
  • Knowledge of office and administrative procedures
  • Skill in using a computer, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Professional
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to engage in outreach activities, workgroups, and external agency collaborations
  • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to organize time case work, administrative needs, and walk-in clients
  • Ability to maintain current driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation
