Outdoor Leadership / Recreation Management Intern
The Outdoor Leadership / Recreation Management Internship will place the candidate(s) in a supervisory position overseeing the logistics and implementation of various aspects of programming at Camp Arrowhead. This role will allow the participant to explore leadership roles and responsibilities related to management of camp operations on multiple levels.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Exceptional organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- The ideal candidate also has youth program experience, understands age-appropriate programming and has participated in or led youth staff training
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and lead age-appropriate recreation or outdoor programs that support the camp’s mission and promote fun, skill development, teamwork, and personal growth among campers.
- Weekly reporting, evaluations, and documentation for assigned program
- Support daily program logistics
- Practice effective group-management techniques
- Build positive relationships with campers.
